Preschool Parent Education Classes offered by Long Beach City College
Child Development Department Fall 2008

Long Beach City College has been providing these excellent, low cost Parent Education Classes throughout the community for over 40 years.

Variety of parent education classes offered where parents attend with their preschoolers . Discussion topics include normal child growth and development, appropriate practices with young children in the areas of education, nutrition, language, socialization and discipline. Instructors teach many practical parenting skills. Children participate in group play including creative, musical and educational activities under parental supervision, as well as story and song time with the teacher.

Registration is only open during the first two weeks of class. Each class is 1 unit of college credit. Parents are encouraged to attend M-W or T-Th combinations but they may enroll in only one class, also. Tuition fee for each of these one unit classes is $20 per unit plus a $14 per-semester health fee.
